Debating Matters' acclaimed Topic Guides place debates in a social context: providing a framework for students’ thinking.
They are designed to provide an intellectual framework within which to start thinking about and researching questions raised by the debate motions. Designed to be used as online resources, they are no substitute for independent research, and they are not intended to be definitive. However, debaters will be expected to have a basic familiarity with the concepts, issues and arguments raised in the Topic Guides to allow for an informed debate.
Taken from the UK competition resources, these have been specially updated for the Changing Age event.
