Debating Matters Competition 2008/09

National Final over!
Debating Matters’ fifth national competition took in 169 schools, who competed in 48 Qualifying Rounds, in eight regions last autumn. Those Qualifying Round winners competed in eight Regional Finals this spring, resulting in eight National Finalist schools.
Of these, Durham Johnston Comprehensive School won the 2009 National Final of the Institute of Ideas and Pfizer Debating Matters Competition, which took place over three days at the Royal Society of Medicine in London from the 3-5 July.
