Convent of Jesus and Mary Language College

Crownhill Road London NW10 4EP

“The Convent of Jesus and Mary Language College is a comprehensive school based in Willesden and has long history of achievement. The school first opened its doors in 1888 and has many long standing traditions, excellent resources and a track record of success. As a school embarks on its 120th year, it has a great deal to celebrate. First and foremost, the Convent is a Catholic school where gospel values are at the heart of all the work. The mission of the school: ‘With God’s grace we excel and lead’ is lived out through service to others, through the charity work undertaken and through support for the community including an annual trip to Lourdes. As you enter the school there is a distinctive aura that is tangible. Care, support and guidance offered to the girls is ‘outstanding’ (Ofsted 2006) and the atmosphere of security and calm ensures a happy place to learn. Attendance at school is excellent and a great deal of importance is placed on the girls attending regularly in order for them to fulfil their potential. Outstanding examination successes are a feature of the school and rank it highly across London”.
