“Inverkeithing High School is committed to providing a high quality of education to all of our pupils, helping them to achieve their full potential, equipping them well to participate effectively in modern society. The success of the school is reflected in the range of school achievements. In 2007 we became the first Secondary School in Fife to be awarded an EcoSchools Green Flag - this reflects the staff and students commitment to the environment. We are also proud to have the Scottish Teacher of the Year 2007, Mr Hirschfeld, as a staff member. The school has a strong academic tradition, with over 60% of its intake proceeding to higher and further education. IHS has also formed a unique link with Carnegie College in Dunfermline, developing vocational courses and group awards for a range of students. The work in this area has gained national recognition.”
