SCHOOLS

King Edward VI Grammar School

Edward Street Louth Lincolnshire LN11 9LL

“King Edward’s is one of the oldest schools in the country, older than Harrow or Eton and many of the other famous Independent Schools.  Alfred Lord Tennyson the famous poet and author was one of our many distinguished former pupils but our list of Alumni includes many other famous adventurers, explorers and captains of industry like Chris Wright founder of Chrysalis Records which give birth to famous bands such as Ultravox and Spandau Ballet. Today King Edward’s still enjoys a central position located at the heart of the Wolds and attracts children from Louth and its villages to Market Rasen in the West, Grimsby and Cleethorpes to the North and Mablethorpe to the East: over a third of our school is made up from pupils who travel to us from these areas.”
