OFSTED inspectors said that the support for students at Runshaw ‘changed lives’. Achieving the very best exam results in Lancashire – and second best in the whole country – will indeed change many of their lives. We are especially delighted about the added value information – this time not only the very best in Lancashire, but just about the best in the country. This means that our students achieved considerably more at 18 than would have been predicted by their exam results at 16. OFSTED inspectors judged that at Runshaw, “every learner really does matter”. The staff here are delighted that the added value information appears to confirm exactly that. Unfortunately, there isn’t a league table for spiritual development, good citizenship and college happiness. If there was, I like to think that Runshaw would be top of this too. Our students are a real delight to work with. We are very proud of them and they inspire the staff here to do the very best we can for each and every one. If we do that successfully then any top league table placing is just a bonus for us all.”
