We are a popular, over subscribed 11-18 comprehensive school providing a high quality education in the market town of Witney. Our school was founded in 1660 by Henry and Mary Box and was for over 300 years the Grammar School for Witney. The Latin motto of The Henry Box School is “Studio Floremus” translated as “By study we flourish”, a philosophy we continue to promote to this day. We are proud of our tradition and excited about our future.

The Henry Box School has had Specialist Language College Status since 2001 and was the first school in Oxfordshire to gain a second specialism in science/maths in 2006.
