“In S2 and S3 pupils are prepared for 8 standard grades with a very high level of success. Around 55% of our S4 gain 5 or more credit level passes (or equivalent). The senior years, S5 and S6, generally contain over 120 youngsters who tackle courses at Advanced Higher, Higher, Intermediate 2 and Intermediate 1 levels. Over 40% of the young people pass 3 or more H-grades, with around 20% passing 5 H-grades. A very high proportion of our youngsters leave to go on to Higher Education and the school enjoys an excellent academic reputation.

There are an extensive range of extra curricular activities including many sports, music and drama. Sporting activities cover team games like football, hockey and rugby to individual pursuits like golf, badminton and orienteering. Musical activities cater for all tastes - from classical music through jazz and folk to rock music. Drama productions cover everything from Shakespeare to the Christmas panto! Staff also arrange an impressive number of trips which greatly enhance the curriculum. Recent venues have ranged from Liverpool and London to the Ardeche and skiing in Switzerland.”
