Medical Research Council

The Medical Research Council (MRC) is one of the UK’s seven Research Councils. We are a publicly-funded organisation dedicated to improving human health. We support research across the entire spectrum of medical sciences, in universities and hospitals, in our own units and institutes in the UK, and in our units in Africa. As part of our mission to promote dialogue with the public about human health, we are pleased to support Debating Matters and the role it plays in helping to engage young people with contemporary debates about health and science issues. The MRC is the sponsor of the East Region and Scotland.
