
Debating Matters is a national schools debating competition for sixth form students that adopts a unique approach to debate, putting students under pressure to engage in debate about key issues facing society in an intellectually rigorous way.

The National Final of the Institute of Ideas and Pfizer Debating Matters Competition will be taking place at the Royal Society of Medicine over the weekend of the 3-5 July. Involving students from eight UK schools and a team from India, the weekend will see some of the brightest students from both countries engage in serious debate about some pressing world issues.
