Debating Matters heads Brunel University for a special evening of debate on human rights issues
Debating Matters is delighted to be heading to Brunel University on February 8th for a unique evening of debate. Sixth Form students from St. Dominic’s Sixth Form College, Ruislip High School, Ravensbourne School, Upton Court Grammar School, Uxbridge College and Ousedale School, will debate three key contemporary human rights issues: whether we should ban the burqa, if prisoners should have the vote, and whether we should expect privacy online. The students will be judged by a prestigious panel of academics from Brunel University London and the Britain in Europe think tank, Cambridge University and Queen Mary University of London, and other distinguished professionals.
We would love to see you as part of the audience, who, as ever, will have the chance to offer thoughts and comments to the students from the floor. The event is free, but you should reserve your seats via our Eventbrite page. We hope to see you on the 8th!
