26 Jan 2017: Regional Final Debate Motions 2017
Regional Final debate motions and Topic Guides just published - get debating!
Topic Guides for the Debating Matters Competition 2016/17 Regional Finals are now available to view and download from the Debating Matters website.
The Debating Matters team have chosen eight contemporary political, scientific and cultural issues for students to debate in February, March and April. With debate motions on the whether social media sites should filter out fake news, if plain packaging on tobacco is a good idea, and whether we should be tougher on the sharing economy, to name just three, we’re hoping for a really great spring of hard fought debate and arguments. Just 12 schools can make it through to the National Final in the summer, and they’ll need to do justice to these debates to get there!
