Alec graduated from the University of Essex many years ago with a degree in Politics. After several years working as a self-employed builder he returned to university to complete a post-graduate certificate in education. He currently lectures vocational ‘A’ level students in Health & Social Care and maths and coordinates Key Skills in his Centre. He co-wrote and co-educated ‘A Lecturer’s Guide to Further Education’, a critique of current practice and government policy within the FE sector. Alec has just returned from a year’s sabbatical, spending his time travelling around South and Central America, Cuba and Jamaica. Happy days!
