Andrew spent 25 years in business journalism, most of them at the Financial Times, where he was Editor from 2001 to 2005. In 2000 he founded Financial Times Deutschland, a new paper for the German market. After leaving the FT Andrew led a review of Intellectual Property legislation for the UK Government and then moved into the corporate world, first as Co-head of Communications and Brand at the global investment bank Lehman Brothers and later as Global Head of Media at BP. A graduate of Cambridge University, he is co-author of a biography of Yasser Arafat first published in 1990.
