Anwar studied for a politics degree at the university of Sheffield, followed by a stint in the city as a derivatives trader, after which he returned to Sheffield to complete an MA in Politics and Philosophy. He is currently interning at the Institute of Ideas, during which time he has written for Culture Wars on political issues surrounding the General Election. His interests include public policy, football, Alfred Hitchcock and Orson Welles films, existential philosophy, writing short stories, music, and 19th century French and Russian Literature.
