    Labelled “one of Britain’s sharpest social commentators” by the Daily Telegraph, a “libertarian ideologue” by the Independent, and a “Marxist proletarian firebrand” by the Guardian, Brendan O’Neill is editor of spiked, the “sassy, irreverent UK-based online magazine of news and opinion”, in the words of the San Francisco Chronicle. He started his career in journalism at spiked’s predecessor,Living Marxism, and has also written widely for publications on both sides of the Atlantic, including the New Statesman, the Spectator, the Guardian, The Sunday Times, Salon, Slate, the Chicago Sun-Times, the American Conservative and Reason magazine. He is author of the green satire Can I Recycle My Granny and 39 Other Eco-Dilemmas, published by Hodder & Stoughton in 2008.
