    International Baccalaureate

    Carolyn Adams is the Director of Assessment Operations for the International Baccalaureate (IB), which offers international Diploma qualifications to over 100,00 students a year in 132 countries in 84 different languages.  She is responsible for the delivery of the assessment to students in all parts of the world, engaging examiners from over 80 different countries.  Although her post is based in Cardiff, she travels all over the world to visit IB schools and meet IB teachers. Prior to 2009, Carolyn was the Director of Examinations Services for AQA, the largest of the UK awarding organisations.  In the summer 2009 exam, Carolyn was responsible for the successful delivery of results arising from the collection of around 25 million GCE (A-level) and GCSE component marks.
