In her work at the British Council, Cathy does what is called cultural relations: essentially conversations and joint activity in education, the arts and English which build trust between the UK and other nations. She has worked all over the world, particularly in India and in West Africa, and is now based in the British Council’s London office in Trafalgar Square building exciting partnerships and programmes with a wide range of organisations and individuals. She understands the power of words, and hence is excited at participating in Debating Matters!
