Charles has been with Debating matters since 2006/07 when he took part in the competition as part of the Jack Hunt School (Peterborough) team, only to lose out at the Central Regional Finals. Having left sixth form he now enjoys his role as an Alumnus and is in his fourth year of University studies reading medicine in Birmingham. Whilst he cannot promise to save the world, not anytime soon anyway, he is convinced of the vital role Debating Matters has in engaging especially young people in intellectual exchanges and stimulating discusions. His other interests lie in volunteering and music.
