    Institute of Local Government Studies, University of Birmingham

    Chris works for the University of Birmingham’s Institute of Local Government Studies, where he launched and ran for many years the Institute’s undergraduate degree programme. His particular interests, after cricket, are in the politics of local government, and he is joint-author of the most widely used textbook on British local government, now approaching its 6th edition. Chris also writes regularly for the Birmingham Post on elections and many other topics.
