Chris has worked as a non-clinical research scientist at the MRC Virology Unit since 1974, primarily studying various herpes viruses. His specialist interest is in understanding the ways in which viruses either kill cells or establish a latent infection. Over the past three years he has become increasingly involved in the management and future research programmes of the Virology Unit.
