Former BBC journalist
Fran is a graduate of St. Andrews University and was a BBC TV news reporter and presenter for 15 years on programmes such as Newsnight, Nationwide, 60 Minutes and Watchdog before becoming a senior corporate communications manager at Shell. She has also worked as a print journalist, in training young TV journalists and in teaching business executives how to handle the media. Most recently Fran was Head of Corporate Communications at BAT for 11 years, running a large team responsible for press relations, scientific communications, corporate publications including annual reports and social reports, internal communications and the group’s corporate websites. She is a Freeman of the City of London, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and is involved in political campaigning and charity fundraising following her retirement.
