Gillian has worked in the field of infertility and IVF for 20 years.Her first degree was in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and she worked in the Cabinet Office for 3 years as a Government Statistician before switching careers to medicine.. a move that involved going ‘back to school’ to do some science A levels! She lectures and broadcasts on ethical and social aspects of fertility treatment and recently has courted controversy by advocating ‘social’ egg freezing as a way of ‘extending’ a woman’s prospects of genetic motherhood.
