Gill has had a career spanning pharmaceutical research, science policy and scientific affairs. She is currently in retirement but remains active in international health, working with the World Health Organisation and Geneva based NGOs. Gill maintains a strong interest in science and education as a trustee of the Science Museum, former chair of the Cheltenham Science Festival, and advisor to the British Council. She is Chairman of the University Women’s Club and takes on numerous national and international speaking engagements. She is the holder of several National awards and honorary degrees.
