Graeme started his career at the National Library of Scotland in 2002. He is responsible for the Library’s 20th and 21st century published collections. He holds a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Stirling, and an MSc in Information and Library Studies from the University of Strathclyde. Graeme is also a published and performance poet and in 2008 he won the inaugural Scottish Poetry Slam Championship at the Aye Write Festival, and was on the winning team for Scotland at the Three Nations Slam at the Bristol Old Vic. He was a finalist in the BBC Edinburgh Fringe Slam in 2012, and won the Luminate Slam in 2013. His first collection of poetry, ‘Reclamation Marks’, was published in 2004, with a second collection, ‘Sleevenotes’, released as an album under the artist name 56n. In August 2016 he performed a 4 star show called The Joy of Spines at the Edinburgh Fringe.
