PattersonDr Guy Patterson
Guy gained his doctorate at Trinity College Dublin, where he was a member of the geography department. His thesis was based on a study of a rural community in central Sicily, and he maintains a close relationship with the area, returning every year. His academic career as a fieldwork director, specializing in migration studies, ended when he took up the post of regional manager for Help the Aged. When Help the Aged merged with Age UK he continued to work for the organization, undertaking a variety of projects, until he joined Dorset HealthCare Foundation Trust. He is currently employed as a Health and Social Care Coordinator at a community hospital in North Dorset.
