  • Professor Heather Piper

Education and Social Research Institute, Manchester Metropolitan University

Heather is a qualitative educational researcher who formerly worked as a child protection social worker. Her research interests span a broad range of educational and social issues including teachers and care professionals being frightened of touching children and teachers who have been accused of sex abuse. Perhaps more controversially, she has been critiquing the so called ‘link’ between children harming animals and the likelihood they will become serial killers for the past decade!
