    Ian Hargreaves worked as a journalist for many years. His jobs included deputy editor of the Financial Times, director of BBC News and editor of the Independent and then the New Statesman. He also spent 10 years jousting with Claire Fox as a member of the Radio 4 Moral Maze panel.  He has been associated with Cardiff University and its famous School of Journalism for the last 20 years, during which time he also found himself (at different times) directing communications for the Foreign Office and for the company that owned Heathrow Airport. He lives in Cardiff, a couple of miles from the Wales Millennium Centre, on whose board of trustees he now sits. He’s also a member of the BBC Board.
