Jacob read Politics and Philosophy at the University of Sheffield, before reading the BPhil in Philosophy at St Cross College, Oxford. During his studies he read widely in Philosophy, developing a special interest in political philosophy and continental philosophy, especially the work of Hannah Arendt. During his time at Sheffield, Jacob was part of a group of friends who pioneered a public discussion forum, the Sheffield Salon, modelled on the Salons of Enlightenment Europe. He joined SHM in 2015 as a consultant and project manager, and has since been working on a wide range of SHM’s client accounts. In his spare time, he enjoys continuing to read philosophy and literature, cooking – especially soufflés – and scouring London for the perfect caffé piccolo.
