FoxDr Jayne Fox
principal scientist (recently retired)
Jayne obtained a first degree in biochemistry and a PhD in genetics in the 1980s, and subsequently worked in a number of biomedical research areas. After 10 years spent outside of industry at the Cancer Research Campaign Gray Laboratory, the Royal Free and St Thomas’ hospitals, she joined Zeneca - now AstraZeneca - in the field of molecular diagnostics. Jayne has since seen many exciting developments, culminating in the integration of patient selection (personalised medicine) - often by using molecular testing methods - into the clinical development of new therapeutic agents. In 2015 Jayne retired from AZ where latterly she worked as a Principal Scientist in the Personalised Medicine section of the organisation.
