Programme Manager, Charter Work Inspiration
Business in the Community
Joanne has been with Business in the Community for nine years and is a Programme Manager for the Charter Work Inspiration programme. Funded by the Department of Education, the Charter Work Inspiration Programme commenced in 1999. It is an employer-led campaign which makes work experience more meaningful, relevant and inspiring for young people in Northern Ireland. It bridges the gap between young people’s expectations of the world of work and business expectations of new recruits. By providing inspirational work experiences and careers activities that enthuse and encourage young people, allowing them to make more informed career decisions. In 2011 she was awarded the Education Links Award by Bombardier, this award celebrates the achievements of individuals that supported Bombardier education outreach activities helping them to create the next generation of aviation enthusiasts. In the past Joanne has worked in Sentinus and NIBEP (Northern Ireland Business Education Partnership).
