    Kamran is a leading medical editor and doctor with rich international, senior management, and board level experience with the British Medical Journal (BMJ), the Bulletin of the World Health Organization, the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine, and OnMedica Group Ltd. Kamran qualified from Leeds Medical School in 1992 and following five years clinical experience in hospital medicine moved into the world of publishing, predominantly working in senior editorial roles at the British Medical Journal, where he was deputy editor and acting editor. During his time at the BMJ, Kamran was seconded to the World Health Organization, where he edited and revamped the WHO’s public heath journal, The Bulletin. In addition, Kamran created BMJ Learning and was publisher of the BMJ International editions. Kamran is the current editor of the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine, and has been since 2005. He is an honorary senior lecturer at Imperial College and a Patron of the South Asian Health Foundation. Kamran’s other passion is cricket. He was the first Asian columnist for Wisden Cricket Monthly, writes on cricket for Dawn, Pakistan’s leading newspaper, and has popular blog on cricinfo.com
