    Retired Education Leader

    Until 2012 Karen was Affiliate Headteacher of an outstanding Academy in the East Riding of Yorkshire. As a graduate in Chemistry and Education, her career also included teaching Science and Chemistry up to A level and a number of years as Director of Post-16 Studies. Post retirement she remains very involved in education as the chair of the Local Governing Body of a large secondary school within a successful Multi-Academy Trust and supports students in preparing for Oxbridge, Medicine and UCAS applications.

    In 2015 she was honoured to be invited to be a member of the Debating Matters Israel team and judge in the first competition in Tel Aviv. Since then she has regularly judged for Debating Matters in local, regional and national competitions.
