    Lee’s main research and teaching interests are in the areas of cultural theories and popular culture including music, film, television, and celebrity. He is the author of journal articles, book chapters and reports on popular culture, teaching and learning and sport. He has recently published work on subjects such as Kylie Minogue and pop imagery, Angelina Jolie and celebrity politics, Celebrity Big Brother and gender and sexuality within the TV science-fiction series Doctor Who and Torchwood. His forthcoming work includes studies of Scandinavian Extreme Heavy Metal Music and the evocation of place within British Hip Hop and Grime music.
