  • Llyr Glyndwr Griffiths

    New Technology Platform Leader

    Unilever R&D

Llyr hails from the ‘wild west’ of Pembrokeshire. He went east to study chemical physics at the university of Kent at Canterbury and stayed at the same institution where he obtained a PhD in polymer chemistry – related to fabrication of microchips. He joined Unilever almost 30 years ago where he has held various positions spanning background research through to product development, in UK and France. He has grappled with the product instability in fabric conditioners and worried about what women around the world want in terms of hair styling products. His current role encompasses elements related to New Technology and Sustainability.
