    Lucy’s book Gay Men and the Left in Post-War Britain: How the personal got political (MUP 2007) was shortlisted for an Erotic Award in 2008. She has also written for academic journals and newspapers on gay politics past and present, and is a regular reviewer for Culture Wars. She has been involved in a number of projects outside of a university context, for example television and radio documentaries, community history groups, LGBT history month, public talks, salons and events in local schools. Lucy is currently working with Dr Sarah King to explore the possibilities of interdisciplinary research on trauma through the project ‘Using History to Combat Combat-related Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder’.
