• Mark Day

    Head of Policy & Communications

    Prison Reform Trust

The Prison Reform Trust is an independent UK charity working to create a just, humane and effective penal system. They do this by inquiring into the workings of the system; informing prisoners, staff and the wider public; and by influencing Parliament, government and officials towards reform. They run a number of high profile campaigns including Barred From Voting, a joint initiative with UNLOCK to help overturn the blanket ban on sentenced prisoners voting, and Out of Trouble, which is working to reduce the number of children and young people who are imprisoned in the UK. Previously Mark was Deputy Director of the thinktank Progress and Deputy Editor of Progress Magazine.
