PEOPLE

  • Mark Lees

    executive operations manager

    Immunocore

Following a biochemistry degree at Oxford, Mark Lees went to Imperial College in London for a PhD in the genetics of autoimmune disease. Identifying that lab work was not for him, he left academia and spent time supporting the life sciences industry as a consultant in Paris and London. This included a stint working for the Department of Health. With a view to a move into industry, he did an MBA at Oxford and then moved into a start-up biotech company working in gene therapy and oncology. Mark joined Immunocore in January 2017 where he works with the leadership team on strategic projects and operations. Outside drug development he enjoys family life – especially when outdoors on one of his regular trips to the Welsh coast.
