Michael is a retired Computer Engineer, a former president of the Guildford Speaking Club where he won the ‘Humorous Speaking Award. He is a committee member of the Queen’s English Society – which advocates the use of good English in public life, and he stood for election to Guildford Borough Council in 2011.
