Michael is currently studying for an MA in Methods of Social Research, with an eye to writing a PhD thesis afterward. He graduated this year from the University of Kent with a degree in criminology and sociology. His academic and research interests include criminological and sociological theory, ‘expressive’ crimes and shortcomings of popular forms policing of urban areas. A veteran of the alumni circuit, Michael’s enthusiasm for the competition is as strong as ever and he is looking forward to seeing this year’s competitors in action!
