Mike graduated from the University of Kent with a degree in criminology and sociology and has just completed his MA in Methods of Social Research. He is now doing a PhD on vigilante movements within the 2011 summer riots. Mike’s academic and research interests include criminological and sociological theory, ‘expressive’ crimes and shortcomings of popular forms policing of urban areas. A veteran of the alumni circuit,his enthusiasm for the competition is as strong as ever and he is looking forward to seeing this year’s competitors in action!
