DM Alumnus
Mike is a former Debating Matters competitor who represented Scotland twice at the National Finals in London with underwhelming success. He is now a DM alumnus and has been ‘working’ at qualifying rounds around Scotland for the last few months. Until recently, Mike was an Army Cadet and describes winning the UK Champion Cadet Competition in September 2010 as his greatest honour alongside debating in the Scottish Parliament for the last two years. He is currently in his first year studying Scots Law at the University of Glasgow and is also a member of the Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities Officer Training Corps. He has recently started contributing to the new online student magazine StudentPunch. In his spare time he enjoys playing squash quite badly and has a pet goldfish called the HMS Belfast.
