    Natalie Bennett was the leader of the Green party from 2012-16. She was the founding chair of Green Party Women and a candidate in Holborn and St Pancras in the general elections of 2010 and 2015. Natalie has been a journalist for two decades and before entering politics she was editor of the Guardian Weekly and has worked previously for The Times, the Independent, the Bangkok Post and Australian provincial papers. Her academic background includes agricultural science, history, politics and mass communications. Natalie was the candidate for the Green Party in Sheffield Central, where she lives, in the 2017 general election.
