    Nirpal is 36, lives in Camden and grew up in Greenford, West London. He attended an boys’ state comprehensive in Ealing, West London and studied English and American Studies at Nottingham University. After that he worked as a radio producer for BBC Radio London, then became a freelancer writer and in 2006 published a novel, Tourism, which Julie Burchill described as “Sexy, shocking and touched with genius”.  His articles have appeared in many of the mainstream papers, including The Times, Sunday Times, Guardian, Observer, Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday.
