Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT)
Pamela has worked at WWT’s Llanelli Wetland Centre since 2011 where she helps planning and delivering enquiry-based outdoor learning experiences for school children and the general public designed to engage and enthuse them about wildlife and raise awareness of environmental issues. Prior to this role, Pamela has worked in an education capacity at WWT Washington, Blackpool Zoo and Edinburgh Zoo, and volunteered in the education teams of the RSPB, Wildlife Trusts and Whale and Dolphin Conservation. She holds a BSc and PhD in Genetics both from the University of Nottingham, and an MSc in Biodiversity, Wildlife and Ecosystem Health from the University of Edinburgh. During her PhD, Pamela was actively involved in the University’s Science Outreach programme and volunteered as a Researcher in Residence at a local secondary school. She been involved with judging CREST awards and the National Science Competition since 2008.
