Patrick has been involved in the production of the Institute of Ideas’ Battle of Ideas festival since its inception in 2005, alongside coordinating press work for the Debating Matters Competition. He was formerly the Head of Research and Development department at TSL Education where he was responsible, alongside other things, for coordinating the research leading to the award-winning re-launches of the Times Higher Education and Times Educational Supplement, where he’d previously worked as a reporter and researcher. Patrick writes regularly for the online current affairs magazine spiked and his writing has also appeared in a range of local, national and online publications. He makes frequent appearances on BBC Radio 5 Live commenting on a range of issues, and has produced films on India, Nepal and workplace issues for online television channel WORLDbytes. Patrick has an Executive MBA from Henley Business School; a first class honours degree in philosophy from the University of Warwick and an MA from the University of Sussex.
