Peter has been Professor of Geophysics at UCL since 2001. Prior to that, he was a Royal Society University Research Fellow from 1992-2001 and a Visiting Professor at the Earthquake Research Institute, Tokyo University in 1999. He is a Member of the Editorial Board for the Proceedings of the Royal Society, London and has been an invited speaker to the American Geophysical Union in 2001, 2003, 2008, 2009.
