    House of Commons

    Before being elected in 2005, Philip worked in Customer Services and Marketing at Asda in Leeds. Philip was re-elected as the MP for Shipley in 2010 with a majority of 9,944. His parliamentary interests include law and order, immigration, and the EU.  Philip became the first MP to publicly call for Britain to withdraw from the European Union and is a member of The Freedom Association’s ‘Better Off Out’ campaign. He is also the Parliamentary Spokesman for the Campaign Against Political Correctness. Philip is active in his local community having served as both a Parish councillor and School governor.  He also actively campaigns to prevent two proposed housing developments in his constituency and continues to call for a fairer slice of the ‘transport’ cake for his local area. Outside of politics Philip enjoys both cricket and horse racing.
