Natural Environment Research Council
Poppy originally studied business and environmental management and then returned to her real love of all things biological before pursuing research on viruses. She has worked at the Natural Environment Research Council for five years, initially running grant funding rounds to help researchers make their work available to government and industry, and latterly in the communications area to increase public engagement with science research. Her current focus is on enthusing young people about the work that NERC funds.
