With degrees in Chemistry and Oceanography, and more than 30 years’ experience in marine and environmental research, policy support and consulting in academic, government and business sectors, Sabine specialises in the innovative integration of scientific and decision tools in support of stakeholder and policy frameworks and objectives. Her work focuses on the evolving question of how we transparently and meaningfully use cross-disciplinary science to more sustainably evaluate and manage human impacts and demands on ecosystems, bridging the gaps between scientists, engineers, policy makers and the public. Much of her work is carried out in collaborative networks with other consultancies, universities, NGOs and government agencies. Sabine has been a visiting or adjunct Professor at University of San Diego; San Diego State University and Cranfield University, sits on the editorial board of two scientific journals and on a range of scientific advisory boards and committees, both in the UK and internationally.
