    Sarah is a Commissioner of the National Lottery Commission (NLC), the independent regulator of the UK National Lottery, and was appointed in September 2005. She also sits on the Board of Governors of Teachers TV, an internet and broadcasting service for all involved in the education of 5-16 year olds. As an independent consultant on broadcasting regulation, she advised the BBC Governors and then the BBC Trust on regulatory and compliance matters. Sarah lives in Suffolk and sits as a magistrate on the West Suffolk Bench. She was formerly Advisor, Content and Standards at Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator. Prior to that at Independent Television Commission (ITC) she was its first Director of Public Affairs, and later it’s Director of Programmes and Advertising. She is a Fellow of the Royal Television Society and was its Chairman from May 2000 – June 2002.
